Trump Announced the Final Battle for America: Why He Won’t Succeed

On “America’s birthday”, July 4th, Donald Trump was supposed to deliver a “throne speech” and congratulate Americans on their main holiday, but he had the following choice: try to go along the path of national reconciliation and preserve some (illusory) political decency, or choose the path of maximum political confrontation, which may well end in a real civil war.

This choice, which the US President faced, can be formulated in terms of the recent history of a “pseudo-state” neighbouring Russia. Trump had to give a public answer to the question: “To be Yanukovych or not to be?” — with the only correction that the US President does not have real estate in Rostov, and he hardly wants to change the gilded, pretentious interiors of Trump Tower in New York for something else.

The US President chose the most aggressive option — and for two days now, the US media has been saying that his speech was “dark and divisive”. It is — and it was intended to be. By and large, Trump told Americans the bitter truth about a divided country, that America in the form that his voters like it can be destroyed, and that a new generation of Americans sincerely hates their own country, and this happened because part of the American managerial elite wanted this to happen.

If you replace several geographical designations and political terms in his speech, then the situation described by him perfectly fits the description of the late USSR. The parallels are hard to deny: politically active young people hate the country and the values on which the country is based, most of the political and administrative elite is destroying the country, and mutual hatred of citizens of different political beliefs (and nationalities) reaches a boiling point — readiness for physical violence. Moreover, all these symptoms are not the result of some momentary problems or several years of mistakes. The opposite is true. The current American symptoms, as in the late USSR, are the result of long-standing systemic problems that have moved from a chronic to an acute phase.

The leading press — not even the United States, but the entire English-speaking world – took offence at this statement made by Trump:

“The violent mayhem we have seen in the streets of cities that are run by liberal Democrats, in every case, is the predictable result of years of extreme indoctrination and bias in education, journalism, and other cultural institutions. Against every law of society and nature, our children are taught in school to hate their own country, and to believe that the men and women who built it were not heroes, but that were villains. The radical view of American history is a web of lies — all perspective is removed, every virtue is obscured, every motive is twisted, every fact is distorted, and every flaw is magnified until the history is purged and the record is disfigured beyond all recognition.”

The US President is not exaggerating. The so-called liberal (and in fact — globalist) part of the American elite really implemented a fairly successful plan to undermine the electoral base of their conservative opponents. The younger generation of Americans really for the most part hates their own country, its history, its monuments, and lives with an indelible and terrifying sense of guilt for themselves (because they are white), for their country, for their parents, and especially for their peers, who do not want to pay and repent, but not in front of the real victims of American imperialism from Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, and Russia of the 90s, but in front of local racial and sexual minorities. An entire generation was brought up with the idea that the only way to make amends for their “white guilt” is to vote for the Democratic Party and live in strict accordance with the “party line” that is formulated by the editorials of the New York Times or leading influencers from social networks and Hollywood.

The following symbolic but significant detail can help you understand the scope of the problem.

Trump was speaking against the backdrop of Mount Rushmore. Its granite face is carved with a bas-relief depicting four US presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. This is not just a bas-relief, but a historical symbol — a kind of “heart of America” and a granite embodiment of its historical memory and national pride. In the Russian context, in terms of its emotional significance for society, Rushmore could be compared to the monumental sculpture “Motherland calls!” on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd. The best indicator of how sick and divided the modern American society is can be considered the fact that on “America’s birthday” and in the run-up to Trump’s speech, the most noticeable trend in the American information field were calls for the destruction of this symbol of the United States, and the leading media joined the process.

“Mount Rushmore was built on land that belonged to the Lakota tribe and sculpted by a man who had strong bonds with the Ku Klux Klan. It features the faces of 2 U.S. presidents who were slaveholders” – this is what the authoritative The New York Times wrote about the symbol of America.

For many politicians and media people in the United States, the destruction of this “heart of America” would probably be the final sign of the ideological victory of the movement that has been demolishing monuments in the United States and Europe for a month. Moreover, not only monuments in honour of slaveholders are being brought down, but also ones in honour of those who fought against them. This is not a question of denying something wrong in your own past, but an attempt to erase it and establish in the entire western world and especially in its “metropolis” — i.e., in the United States — the ideological globalist monopoly of those political forces, whose prominent representatives are Hillary Clinton, James Mattis, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, or George Soros. Their choice is made according to the formula: if in order to remove Trump you need to destroy America’s self-respect, burn its history, and turn young Americans into “liberal red guards”, then you need to do it. And that’s what they do.

Donald Trump must be an optimist — in his speech he promised voters a complete victory over those who are trying to destroy the US from the inside. Most likely, even if he wins the election, it will be a Pyrrhic victory. It is very likely that, regardless of the election results, the United States will descend into political chaos along the lines of some South American or post-Soviet countries, possibly with elements of mass political violence. Perhaps, from the point of view of the interests of the rest of the world, this is the best option. Too strong a nationalistic America in the form in which Trump wants to recreate it is a direct threat to all other countries seeking to pursue at least some kind of independent policy. But the United States, returning to the role of a geopolitical gendarme who, with the iron hand of sanctions and aircraft carrier groups, instills “American-style liberal democracy”, minority privileges, and other fake “universal values” around the world, is an even more terrible threat. Paradoxically — the longer the United States is engaged in internal squabbling and the more destructive this squabble will be, the longer billions of earthlings will be able to live in relative peace.

The last paragraph shows misunderstanding of Trump, who was elected, in large part, for his promises to end forever wars, end the hated US role as global policeman, and fight the corruption in the DC swamp, where so many politicians are beholden to corporate America and/or to the military industrial complex.
